Detailed schedule of sessions

Session 1, Room 1: Evolution of Datacenter Infrastructures

The features of Software-Defined Data Centers (SDDC) and the transition from traditional virtualization to containerization enable increasingly high-performing architectures and greater automation.

Discover the latest standards in data center infrastructure, particularly concerning networking, storage, compute, and security, with a special focus on the latest major version of the VMware suite (vSphere and vSAN 8.0).

During this presentation, the following topics will be covered:

  • What's New in vSphere and vSAN 8.0.
  • Evolution of storage technologies (SCM, NVMe over Fabric, QLC, etc.).
  • Flexibilization of HCI architectures.
  • 25 Gbps and Beyond Network Speed Scales.
  • Datacenter firewalling and micro-segmentation.

Session 1, Room 2: Adopting the Modern Workplace

The Modern Workplace is a buzzword to describe desktop automation. Its definition varies depending on the stakeholders or providers.

Discover our vision of the Modern Workplace and its related services! From the automated deployment and securing of a device to its refurbishment, we will cover the full lifecycle of the modern employee's work tool, whether it's a physical workstation or a virtual one (hosted in the Cloud).

During this presentation, the following topics will be covered:

  • Managing different user devices with Endpoint Manager (Intune).
  • Securing workstations and smartphones, as well as access based on their compliance.
  • Software deployment, Windows updates, builds, and applications.
  • Automated workstation provisioning via AutoPilot.
  • Windows Hello Authentication (fingerprint, multi-factor).

Session 1, Room 3: Document Management and Collaborative Portal

Office tools, business software, and collaborative tools are currently causing an explosion of unstructured data (documents, emails, messages, etc.). For the user, it becomes difficult to know where to save their documents and how to find relevant information. For organizations, maintaining control over this content is a real challenge, particularly due to the constraints associated with GDPR and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection.

During this presentation, the following topics will be covered:

  • Features of a modern DMS/ECM solution.
  • Use case for a collaborative platform such as Hubshare.
  • Integration of these tools into the organization's ecosystem (ERP, CRM, collaborative tools, etc.).
  • Data and Document Governance: Between Digital Chaos and Rigidity.

Session 2, Room 1: Data Protection Strategies

The resurgence of ransomware in recent years has forced organizations to reconsider their data protection strategies, with backups representing the last line of defense in the event of an attack. Furthermore, the mobility of resources between physical and virtual environments or between on-premises and cloud services is now a reality.

Discover best practices and new architectures for data protection in these new hybrid environments.

  • Consistent data protection and retention strategies.
  • Immutability and built-in ransomware protection.
  • Cloud Storage and Archiving Third-Party Exploitation.
  • Protection of Cloud Services in IaaS (e.g., Azure) and SaaS (e.g., Office 365) modes.
  • Restoration simulation automation.

Session 2, Room 2: Outsourcing to Azure Cloud

Today, the Cloud is regularly considered in digital transformation scenarios, infrastructure evolution, or improvement of IT system availability and performance.

Discover how to take the leap into the Cloud by understanding the benefits of such a change while avoiding its pitfalls. We will answer these different questions with, as a bonus, an overview of some flagship features of the Azure environment.

During this presentation, the following topics will be covered:

  • Introduction and History of the Cloud.
  • The existing types of architectures and services.
  • Security of resources and access with Microsoft Azure.
  • Azure Virtual Desktop, the evolution of the Remote Desktop service.
  • Pitfalls to avoid during a cloud transition.
  • Different migration use cases.

Session 2, Room 3: Electronic Signature

Electronic signatures are a recurring topic. Today, software solutions allow for completely replacing handwritten signatures, with user-friendly interfaces and many advantages for businesses and organizations: end-to-end traceability, tracking the status of contracts and commitments, dematerialization of employment contracts, etc. In parallel, organizational electronic seals allow for the destruction of paper documents with full legal validity (probative archiving).

During this presentation, the following topics will be covered:

  • Definitions of the electronic signature.
  • Uses of simple/advanced/qualified electronic signatures.
  • Usefulness of an organizational electronic seal.
  • Overview of the different electronic signature solutions on the market.

Session 3, Room 1: Network Services Automation

All network infrastructure must be built on solid foundations to ensure the continuity of associated services. Whether it's network organization or core infrastructure services (e.g., DNS, DHCP, NTP), network management tasks require end-to-end automation.

Discover tools to automatically implement your network engineering rules to simplify daily management!

During this presentation, the following topics will be covered:

  • Reverential IPAM & Dynamic VLANs.
  • Comparison of logical information with network reality.
  • Securing DNS & DHCP Services.
  • Service automation via Ansible or Terraform.

Session 3, Room 2: State of the Art in Cybersecurity

Cybersecurity is fond of barbaric and difficult-to-understand acronyms (ZTA, SOAR, EDR, CASB, etc.). However, in the current security context and considering the gradual transition of resources to the cloud, it is urgent to adapt security architectures to reduce the attack surface of the IS as much as possible.

Discover how these new concepts help to best address evolving threats.

Here is the list of topics that will be covered during this presentation:

  • Dynamic Remote Access Management (ZTA).
  • Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Extended Detection and Response (XDR), etc.
  • Security Operations Management (SOAR, SIEM, etc.).
  • Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB).

Session 3, Room 3: Teams Collaborative Tools and Telephony

The successive lockdown periods have accelerated the massive adoption of collaborative tools in companies. However, whether it concerns telephony or other functions related to information sharing, the urgency of the situation did not allow for proper framing of the use of these tools, nor for adequate user training.

Discover some lesser-known tools and advanced features of the Microsoft 365 suite and Teams in particular to best adapt to your users' needs and improve their productivity.

Here is the list of topics that will be covered during this presentation:

  • Tips and tricks for telephony in Teams.
  • Data Governance in Microsoft 365.
  • Using Microsoft 365 ancillary tools.
  • User training.
  • Microsoft 365 subscriptions.
